From the air…or on foot, you will get up close and personal with an untouched piece of Ocean Isle Beach. Whether you are visiting OIB for the day, or staying for a beach vacation, it is a zipping good time for the whole family!
Adventure That Will Have You Swinging from the Trees
Have you ever dreamt about flying? If so, then you will have the opportunity to soar to new heights on the zipline tour. Get a whole new perspective on wildlife viewing, as you get a bird's eye view of the locals. Deer, turkeys, raccoons, owls and wild boar are just a few of the creatures that you could encounter as you zip through the trees. Get a healthy dose of ecology as you learn about this coastal habitat, including the 100-year old cypress trees that are nestled among each tower.
Put your knowledge and muscles the test! The zipline course is approximately 2 - 2 1/2 hours, and includes 10 zipline stations, three bridges, and more than 1.25 miles of cable. That's a whole lot of flying!
If you are more of a climber than a flyer, then you have got to try the Aerial Adventure Park! This is a thrill-seekers dream. The park includes 53 challenge elements and three levels of difficulty. Whether you are up for a military-level challenge or curtain-climber ease...there is something for everyone.
Adventure Park tickets are good for 2 hours worth of play, so be prepared to get your money's worth of fun! And if you have a young adventurer in your group, no worries! There is a "Kiddie Park" made especially for you pint-size extremist.
Make the Most of a Walk on the Wild Side...with Wildlife
Take a walk on the wild side with a one-mile long Riverwalk Trail. This self-guided tour is just one way to add value to your paid adventure. And if you have opted out of an overhead adventure, then the trail is open for only a small admission fee that goes directly to the alligator relocation project. Explore the raised walkways, and take in the beauty of the untouched Carolina swamp land. You will experience the sights and sound of mother nature...in the raw. Be on the lookout for one of the many turtles, and feel free to bring them a turtle food snack.
When you are ready to get off the path, but don't want to climb up...then take a frog-eyes view boat tour! Travel through the pristine Shallotte River Swamp with a knowledgeable guide, and get a first-hand nature encounter. But the 50-minute boat tours overs more than wildlife! You will also get a little bit of a history lesson, as you find a swampy landmark that was possibly used by George Washington himself!!
