It’s November and you know what that means, right? It’s time for the annual Ocean Isle Beach Flotilla! This locally loved event, along with the Letters to Santa event, are collectively known as “Super Saturday” here in OIB—as they happen the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year.

Ocean Isle Beach Super Saturday: Letters to Santa
Join in the seasonal celebration with a winter wonderland display in Ocean Isle Beach. The Town of OIB’s annual Letters to Santa event takes place on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Town Center Park from 4pm – 6pm. This special holiday event features a visit with Santa, tree lighting, letter writing station, a mailbox to the North Pole, craft station, hot chocolate and cookies and magical light displays. You and your family won’t want to miss this.
Ocean Isle Beach Super Saturday: Flotilla
✅ What is a flotilla, anyway?
Flotilla literally means a fleet of ships or boats. The OIB Flotilla is a Christmas parade of brightly lighted boats all “decked out” for the season that travel down the ICW from Shallotte Point to Ocean Isle Beach. This fun-filled event is perfect for families and kids of all ages. It brings the community together for a night of festive fun and celebration together. Whether you participate or just come to watch, it’s an awesome family night out for residents and vacationers alike.
✅ When and where does the Ocean Isle Beach Flotilla start?
The boat parade starts at 5:30pm on Saturday, November 26, 2022, in front of Inlet View Bar & Grill and proceeds down the Intracoastal Waterway to the commercial canal in front of Sharky’s Restaurant where the judging takes place.
✅ How do I sign up?
Boat entries require a $30 donation with the proceeds benefiting the Brunswick Family Assistance Program, so it’s a boat party with friends for a great cause. Pre-registration for boats is required. For more info email [emailprotected] or click here.
✅ What else do I need to know?
The night ends with a big Christmas Party in the main dining room (and all over Sharky’s) with a night of music and general merry making. This year’s performers are two local bands: Chip & The Old Blocks and The Stone Cold Blues Band for your listening and dancing pleasure.
