2020 Polar Plunge

February 29th, Oak Island

Come out and support the Special Olympics of Brunswick County with the annual Polar Plunge. The event takes place just around the corner on Oak Island. The event is a great way to end winter and kick of spring. You can even bring your dog for the polar plunge.

Schedule: Rain or Shine

On-Site Registration: 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Torch Run And Pep Rally: 2:00-2:30 p.m.

Plunge Starts- 2:30-3:00 p.m.

Go Fly A Kite Day

March 16, 2020, Ocean Isle Beach

Museum of Coastal Carolina

What could be more fun on a beautiful spring day than flying a kite with your family. Come on over to the Museum of Coastal Carolina for the Go Fly A Kite Day. The event is just one of many that the Museum of Coastal Carolina puts on each year. The museum is one of the great attractions you can take advantage of while visiting Ocean Isle Beach.

The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located at 21 East Second Street in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Admission is free for Museum members. Non-member all-day admission, which includes admission to the 11:00 kite program, is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and students, $4 for children ages 3-4, and free for ages 2 and under. North Carolina Azalea Festival

April 1-5 Wilmington, NC

Celebrate Spring…Southern style!!The North Carolina Azalea Festivalis Wilmington’s annual community celebration. This unique event is the largest festival of its kind in the state. Founded in 1948, the Azalea Festival has emerged as Wilmington’s premier happening, drawing a crowd from all over the state. Each April, a full week of natural beauty, big-name entertainment, festive galas, fun family events and Southern hospitality come together to showcase the charms of the Wilmington area. Wine & Swine BBQ Cook-Off

April 17-18, 2020

If you love wine and BBQ then we have a great event for you. This will be the 4th year for this event, and we are sure that it will be another huge success. The event is a partnership with the Silver Coast Winery and the Grissettown Longwood Fire & Rescue.

Friday, April 26th will be the friendly wing competition from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. It is free to the public. Grissettown Longwood Fire & Rescue will be selling wings and Silver Coast Winery will be selling wine and beer.

Saturday, April 27th the festival is from 10:00 am-4: 00 pm with a $5.00 admission which will include 3 BBQ tasting tickets and a People’s Choice ticket. More BBQ tasting tickets will be available for purchase.
