Music That Will Make You Want to Dance

Grab your dancing shoes…or your lawn chair, and head over to the FREE Summer Concert Series hosted by the Ocean Isle Property Owners Association. Every Friday night, through Labor Day, head down to the Museum of Coastal Carolina (located at 21 E. 2nd Street, Ocean Isle Beach) for a summer roster that is spilling over with beach music, shag, oldies and rock ‘n roll. Bands perform from 6:30p-8:00p, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early to purchase refreshments, make a donation to the local food bank and get a good seat! Bring a friend…or the whole family…for an evening full of the sweet sounds of Carolina.

Offering fun for kids of all ages, the Summer Scavenger Hunt series is sure to bring out a little pirate in everyone. Registration starts each Wednesday at 10:00am (7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10, 8/17). There are 5 more weeks to participate in this FREE event….with FREE hot dogs, popsicles and prizes!! So gather up the family, and head over to the Ocean Isle Beach Community Center, located at 44 E. 1st Street.

Behind the Scenes Info on Terrific Sea Turtles

Who wouldn’t want to learn more about these amazing sea creatures that share the beaches of Ocean Isle with us? The Tuesday Turtle talks are a FREE presentation by the Ocean Isle Beach Sea Turtle Protection Organization. Join them on Tuesdays, through August 30th, at 7:00p at the Ocean Isle Beach Community Center located at 44 E. 1st Street.

If you happen to be visiting the Museum of Coastal Carolina in Ocean Isle Beach on a Monday, you can join in on the Monday Turtles Talks at 3:30p. This is a free event offered with purchase of regular admission to the museum. The museum is located at 21 E. 2nd Street.

Operating Friday, Saturday and Sunday (8:00a-5:00p), the flea market offers a wide variety of food, antiques, collectibles, plants…and who knows what else!! Bring the kids and the pets, and see what kind of treasures you can find at flea market, located near mile marker 9 (6165 Ocean Hwy. West, Ocean Isle Beach).

Whether you are a seasoned yogi…or you don’t know the difference between downward dog and sun salutation…a yoga class on the beach may be just the thing to take your vacation from awesome to FIT & FABULOUS! Ocean Isle Beach Yoga offers a variety of Pilates and yoga classes for locals and visitors. Classes are held on the beach, in front of the Ocean Isle Beach Community Center, located at 44 E. 1st Street. You can find a full schedule, offering classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, on the Ocean Isle Beach Yoga website. If you are interested in attending a class, be sure to register online or via their free app. Classes are $10 each, and can be paid in cash. Strike a pose, exhale…and RELAX!
